What is The Anchor Fund?
Gifts to The Anchor Fund provide the flexible, immediate support that helps to captivate and sustain a talented and distinct student body; attract, retain, and train the best faculty and staff; and maintain the campuses with which this school community has been blessed.
The author of Hebrews in chapter 6 writes "So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf."
The Anchor Fund is so named due to our history as a school, the sailing town that helps identify our community, and our secure foundation on Christ and our growing relationship with Him.
Stewardship philosophy in regards to the Anchor Fund:
- This fund will steady our financial position for the work that is before us.
- Like a boat without an anchor, the school would be adrift without the generous giving and involvement of our community.
- An anchor points to our Savior and security no matter the financial, cultural, or life situation. We rely solely on God's provisions through His leading of His people. And we can trust in His steadfast plan as He is our firm and eternal foundation.
