RISE Campaign

Creating Space for Student Flourishing

Get ready to be part of something amazing! Our 85-acre private school campus at Annapolis Area Christian School in Severn, Maryland, is about to get an incredible upgrade.

Welcome to RISE: One Generation to Another!

AACS building campaign is RISE: One generation to another

At Annapolis Area Christian School, we are called to a higher purpose—to see the redeeming grace of God reflected in everything we do and to help our students understand His influence in every aspect of their lives. We believe that a Christ-centered, academically excellent education should not only shape today's students but also remain accessible for generations to come.

That’s why we are launching the RISE Campaign—a bold initiative to ensure both mission fidelity and mission durability. We are committed to upholding our Christian core values while providing an outstanding education that equips students to lead and serve. But to do this well, we must address two key challenges:

  1. Strengthening Program Coherence – We aim to create a seamless, high-quality experience across all grades, ensuring excellence in academics, performing arts, athletics, and STEM programs from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
  2. Building Financial Durability – We must ensure generational continuity with a strong financial foundation that keeps AACS accessible to families, reducing the need for tuition increases while continuing to invest in what makes our school exceptional.

The RISE Campaign is our path forward—a commitment to excellence, faith, and future generations. Together, we will strengthen our school, empower our students, and rise to the call God has placed before us.

Will you join us?

We're kicking things off with Phase 1, which includes a remodel of our current buildings to take advantage of the beautiful space available. More of the school’s valuable resources will be accessible to a larger population of AACS students, and additional classrooms and office space will accommodate Middle School students on the main Severn campus. This Phase will also include creating dynamic gathering spaces that support community-building and relational growth. Our 6th through 8th graders will benefit from the incredible resources we have on the Severn campus. And that’s just the beginning!

The next step includes a STEM building with classrooms designed to inspire and support our growing population of high school students. Phase 2 includes an 8-lane track and turf field, upgraded athletic fields, and more classroom upgrades.

You can help our communities as they come together on one campus! By joining us on this exciting journey, you’ll be fueling the transformation of our Upper School campus into a vibrant hub for learning and community. Your generosity will honor Christ by cultivating young men and women as growing believers, learners, stewards, communicators, and good neighbors.

Let’s create something extraordinary together. Donate to RISE today and help us secure educational excellence for generations!

Build Plans

Classroom Renovations in Kerr and Kilby

Preparations are underway to welcome AACS 6th through 8th-grade students to the Upper School campus for the 2026–2027 school year. Your support will transform existing spaces into modern, flexible classrooms, add enhanced security, and create vibrant gathering spaces where students can learn, collaborate, and flourish in a Christ-centered environment.

Courtyard Beautifications and Student Gathering Spaces

Our students thrive in spaces where they can connect, reflect, and build community. By revitalizing our courtyards and creating inviting gathering areas, we will provide meaningful spaces for fellowship, outdoor learning, and student life—all part of shaping a campus where every student feels at home.

STEM Building

The heart of innovation at AACS is about to grow. A new, fourth academic building will complete our main campus quad, dedicated to high school academics with a focus on science, technology, engineering, and math. Imagine bright labs, collaborative learning spaces, and a hub that equips our students to pursue excellence and innovation in the world God has called them to impact.

New Track and Turf Field, with Stands and Lights

An 8-lane track and premier turf field will position AACS as one of the few private schools able to host large athletic competitions, while also serving as a venue for school assemblies, performing arts rehearsals, and community events. With stands and lights, this facility will foster school spirit and provide a gathering place for students, families, and the broader community.

Food Service and Kilby Lobby Improvements

Shared meals and welcoming spaces are central to student life. Renovating our food service areas and Kilby lobby will create a warm, functional hub for connection, fellowship, and hospitality—where students and families alike feel part of the AACS community every day.

Marching Band Tower

The AACS Golden Eagles Marching Band is a point of pride and excellence, inspiring crowds on the field and beyond. A new marching band tower will provide the tools and vantage point needed to elevate performances, enhance rehearsals, and expand the legacy of this incredible program.

Turf and Strength & Conditioning Facility Improvements

Our athletes are committed to excellence—and they need facilities that match their dedication. Enhancing our turf and strength & conditioning spaces will give students an elite training environment, helping them grow in skill, discipline, and teamwork as they glorify God through athletics.

Building Overview

The Plan

Entrance to the Kerr Center

Annapolis Area Christian School approved a master plan to develop portions of the 85-acre campus in Severn. This completed facility will provide critical space for learning, worship services, athletics, and community outreach.

Phase one of construction will include more classrooms and modular learning spaces. Subsequent phased construction will add a new building for grades 9 through 12 and an 8-lane track and turf field.

The Need

Our current facilities limit our ability to expand and develop new programs that support our students effectively. Our community is spread out, making it difficult for teachers to work together. Expanding our facilities is crucial for providing opportunities for strong collaboration between our faculty and staff, and supporting work toward a coherent curricular framework that offers the academically strong environment our community deserves.

Why Now?

Our school is committed to excellence in academics, with a record that continues to grow stronger. Located on 85 acres, with 60 buildable acres, the campus is ideal for Christian ministry and education. Its accessible location attracts families from Anne Arundel, Prince George’s, Montgomery, Calvert, Howard, and Queen Anne’s County. With a half-century of successful operations, growing enrollment, and our magnificent setting, we are poised for expansion. Building new facilities now will enhance our ability to engage with the community and fulfill our mission.
