Coach Cook has been coaching at AACS since 2019 as well as privately training athletes of all ages in distance running, nutrition coaching, and strength training. In 2024, she was named IAAM Coach of the Year after leading the girls team to an undefeated season and a conference title. She is passionate about sharing her love of running and firmly believes that we are truly born to run!
Coach Cook holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Science and Human Performance and is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, a NASM Certified Sport Nutrition Coach, and an accredited RRCA Distance Running Coach. Her Master’s thesis, on protecting bone health in female distance runners, was selected for publication in 2020, and she has published several articles on bone stress injury prevention, training theory, and female athlete health.
When she’s not chasing the cross country team, Coach Cook trains as a competitive masters runner. A multi-year Boston Marathon finisher, she has podium finishes in distances from the 5k to the ultra-marathon. Her favorite job is wife to a very patient guy and mom to two current AACS students and one AACS alum.
