Can I register for a variety of different kinds of camp weeks?
Yes! AACS students and their siblings can extend a half day specialty camp by adding Eagles Explorations to the afternoons to create a full day. You can also diversify your camper's entire summer by choosing some weeks of EE day camp and other weeks of specialty camps to create a complete, summer-long, comprehensive experience that is tailored to your family's needs!
Where are these camps located?
In previous Summers, camps have been hosted at both our Middle and Upper school Campus. However, this year all camps will be hosted at the Upper School. Transportation is available to bring full day campers from Annapolis (the bus leaves from the Lower School location) to the campus in Severn.
Upper School: 109 Burns Crossing Road, Severn, MD 21144
Annapolis Lower School: 710 Ridgely Ave, Annapolis, MD 21401
The AACS Upper School location provides state-of-the-art buildings on 62-acres of property. Facilities include air-conditioned classrooms, an art room, computer labs, and a 715-seat theater in the Kerr Center for the Arts. Our campers enjoy use of the 82,000 square foot Kilby Athletic Center, including two regulation basketball courts, a fully equipped weight room, a 275 seat dining hall/concession area, computer and robotics labs, and meeting rooms. The Kilby Athletic Center also contains a 22,500 square foot multipurpose indoor artificial turf arena used for soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, baseball, softball, football, and much more. Adjacent to the Kilby Athletic Center, there are two AACS athletic fields, a sand volleyball/soccer courts, and a tennis complex.
How do I apply discounts to my registration?
*Please note: Discounts apply only to Eagles Explorations day camp and not to any specialty camps, unless specific offers or arrangements have been made with a particular director.
If you're registering on or before March 31st, an automatic 10% Early Bird discount will be applied to each week of EE for each child you register! A 10% AACS student discount is also available upon request for Eagles Explorations. Please contact the office at summer@aacsonline.org if you have questions about how discounts have been applied to your enrollment or if you believe they have not been applied correctly. AACS faculty discounts can be requested during the registration process as well, but will have to be confirmed by our office before they are applied to your final balance.
Is a deposit required to register, and how do refunds/cancellations work?
Yes, a $100 deposit per child, per session is required in order to hold that spot for your camper. Deposits are non-refundable after 7 days, except in unique circumstances, which are assessed on a case-by-case basis. (No payment adjustments will be made for voluntary, non-medical withdrawal or absence.) The remainder of the funds due beyond the initial deposit must be paid by June 1st, or immediately at the time of registration if registering on or after June 1st. Failure to make payment in full by that date will result in your camper's spot being opened for someone on the waiting list. You will receive reminder emails from Campwise concerning remaining payments needed to be made.
How does the bus option work?
If you want to take advantage of the daily bus that takes campers from Annapolis to Severn and back again at the end of the day, simply add the "transportation" subprogram option during your registration. The bus fee is $50/week per camper. During camp weeks, plan to drop off your camper between 7:30-7:45am and pick them up between 4:45-5:00pm each day at AACS's Lower School location at 710 Ridgely Ave., Annapolis, MD 21401.
How does the extended care option work?
Extended care is only offered at the Upper School location and is available as a subprogram add-on option during the registration process.
PRICING FOR 5 DAY WEEKS (prices are prorated in Campwise for shorter weeks):
AM Only (7:30-8:30): $38 per camper per week
PM Only (4:20-6:00): $49 per camper per week

Drop-In Rates per Day (pay at the time of service): $10 for AM before care, $15 for PM aftercare
Will my child with special needs enjoy this camp?
Within the extent of our ability, our goal is always to be accommodating and inclusive. We have trained ed support and behavior support specialists on our summer programs team to help campers who need more assistance. We desire to partner with families to ensure every child has a productive, safe, and enjoyable time at camp. Clear, upfront communication about needs and expectations is a helpful part of the process. Please thoroughly and honestly complete the Camper Profile questions during the registration process so that we can prepare to support your child to the best of our ability.
My question isn't on this list. Can I talk to someone?
