Modding with Minecraft: Magic Makers
|
This program is designed for younger students ages 7 to 10 who may be new to coding or Minecraft modding.
Campers start with the basics of Java programming and are guided step by step through creative projects like building custom blocks and magical food items. The focus is on developing problem-solving skills, understanding how cause and effect works in code, and gaining confidence with technology.
No prior experience is needed — just curiosity and creativity.
Important Concepts:
- Introduction to Java
- Build Custom Blocks
- Implement Creative Design

Modding with Minecraft: Mod Masters
|
This program is built for campers ages 10 to 15 who are ready to take things further. This track introduces more advanced coding concepts such as object oriented programming, debugging, and game balance.
Campers learn to create tools, weapons, and more complex features, all while writing real Java code and testing their mods in Minecraft. Previous experience with Minecraft or a basic understanding of coding can be helpful, but it’s not required. Our instructors provide support every step of the way.
Minecraft experience is helpful.
Important Concepts:
- Object-oriented programming
- Create tools and mechanics
- Learn debugging and balancing

Create and Innovate with Java
|
Java is one of the most widely used programming languages in the world, powering everything from mobile apps to smart devices, websites, and even video games. It’s known for being reliable, fast, and secure.
At our camp, Java becomes a tool for creativity. Instead of just playing games, campers learn how to build them from scratch. They explore real coding concepts like logic, loops, and animations, using the same language that professional developers use every day!
Throughout the week, campers will explore the fundamentals of real-world coding by learning how to write Java programs from scratch. They will start with core programming concepts like variables, loops, and conditionals, and gradually build up to beginner object oriented programming. Along the way, they will design creative projects such as games, animations, and choose your own adventure apps that bring their ideas to life.
Campers will also develop critical thinking skills as they learn how to break down problems, debug their code, and recognize useful patterns in their logic. And because coding is better when shared, they will build teamwork and communication skills through group projects, peer feedback, and pair programming challenges.

VEX GO Robotics
|
VEX GO is designed for students ages 7 to 15, offering tailored paths for every level. Beginners use colorful parts to explore mechanics, while older students tackle competitive tasks in our Robotics Olympics. Using an intuitive coding system, campers build robots that move and respond. This program sparks curiosity and strengthens STEM skills through hands-on design and engineering challenges.
Campers will learn:
- Design robots for races and engineering challenges to master mechanics
- The basics of motors, gears, and motion
- Core coding concepts, logic, and automation.
- How to test and improve their designs through experimentation
- Foundational engineering and problem solving skills
- Confidence through completing fun and achievable challenges

VEX IQ Robotics
|
VEX IQ is built for students in ages 10 to 15 who are ready to take their skills to the next level. With advanced components like sensors, motors, and programmable brain modules, campers design and build robots that can perform real tasks. Whether it’s navigating obstacles, responding to input, or completing a challenge, students learn how to bring their ideas to life through hands-on engineering and coding.
Campers use block-based and introductory Python coding to program their robots, applying logic, strategy, and teamwork to improve their designs. VEX IQ encourages deeper thinking, creative problem solving, and the ability to test, adjust, and optimize.
Campers will learn:
- How to design and build functional robots using VEX IQ kits
- Programming with both blocks and beginner Python
- How to use sensors to detect movement, distance, and light
- Strategies for testing, debugging, and improving designs
- The engineering design process from start to finish
- Teamwork, communication, and iterative thinking
