These are focused shooting camps with the use of personalized drills and special instruction including video analysis. Players will learn fundamental shooting techniques, how to correct common shooting flaws and offensive moves that create open shots. 

About the Director: Coach Topp has a personal record of making 142 consecutive free throws and was the 2008 Maryland Senior Olympics free throw champion. He brings a wealth of coaching and training experience from his years of coaching basketball at the middle, high school, college, and semi-pro levels. While coaching at Anne Arundel Community College, his team was ranked 6th in the nation for DIII JUCO free throw percentage. He has worked with NBA shooting coach Buzz Braman and is the National Director for Shot Doctor Basketball Camps, USA. He has helped players of all ages and skills to improve shooting techniques. Coach Topp is the head coach of the Boys’ Middle School A team at AACS. For two years, he was the head coach of the Bay Area Shuckers, a semi-pro team that played its games at AACS.

This camp is designed for beginner and intermediate players looking to develop and refine their game. Run on our five beautiful courts at the Upper School, this camp will teach the techniques for success in this lifelong sport through skill development, stroke production, match play, and court positioning. Individual and group attention will allow campers to significantly advance his or her level of play in and a fun and nurturing environment!

These camps are designed for players of all skill levels. Fundamentals will be taught and refined for all offensive and defensive positions with 7 on 7 contest and a Big Man Challenge. These are non-contact camps. New for 2019 we will host a Lineman and Linebackers camp

About the Directors: Coach Lynn is the head football coach at AACS. He has over 20 years of coaching experience. He worked in football at the University of Maryland, Bowie State and Morgan State Universities.
Coach Smith is an assistant football coach at AACS. He also has 20 year of coaching experience. He has coached at Howard University, Bowie State University, Potomac and Surrattsville high schools.

Athletes will learn all the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting, all in a fun, non-checking environment. Our staff will ensure that campers not only learn the sport of lacrosse, but also important life skills such as respect, teamwork, and discipline. Every athlete will come away with a deep understanding of the game and its traditions.

This camp is designed to provide players of all different ages, abilities and levels an experience that advances their individual basketball skills and at the same time is fun and rewarding. Players will be grouped by age and skill. Improvement on fundamentals and sportsmanship will be stressed and will include games and contests, station drills, shooting instruction, end-of-session evaluations, and prizes.

About the Director: Coach Doug Scheidt is a seasoned coach and former Wheaton College player from the Chicago area.  Coach Scheidt has been the Boys' Varsity Head Coach at AACS for 13 years, a program which now competes in the MIAA A Conference!  He brings passion and intensity as well as love for basketball, athletes and kids!


Director: Char Hudlow, Rachel Dixon and Brenda Evans
Dates: June 24 - June 28

Gender/Age: Girls ages 6 to 14
Location: Kilby Athletic Center, at Upper School

No previous experience needed!  This camp will introduce and build on cheer fundamentals and techniques such as motions and jumps.  We will incorporate team building, snack, short devotionals, and building confidence while leading cheers in front of a crowd.  

What to wear: Comfy t-shirt/tank (no spaghetti straps), shorts, and athletic shoes
What to bring: Water bottle and sunscreen. 

About the Directors: All three coaches have been involved with cheer since they were in Middle School. Coach Rachel is in her first year as Head Coach of the AACS Upper School Cheer squads. Coach Brenda used to be the Varsity Coach for AACS and is now currently serving as the Middle School cheer coach. Coach Char cheered in college for 2 years and is now the assistant for both the Upper and Middle School teams. The coaches enjoy working with cheerleaders to increase their athleticism, leadership, and walk with Christ.

Eagles Soccer Camp is staffed with AACS coaches as well as professional soccer players from  the Baltimore Kings Pro Soccer team. Our coaching philosophy focuses on the importance of footwork, first-touch, ball mastery, non-dominant foot, soccer-specific fitness, and overall technical ability. Video analysis and soccer metric testing will also be utilized. Players will have the opportunity to play on our Bermuda grass and indoor turf fields. Players of all levels and experience are welcome!

Campers will receive a camp t-shirt and free tickets to a Baltimore Kings Pro Soccer game. Scholarships are available, contact the Summer Programs for details.

About the Director: About the Director: Coach Danza will be entering his 3rd year at AACS. A retired professional soccer player, Danza spent 4 years playing for teams across the U.S. He was first called up to the Puerto Rico Men's National Team in 2012 and most recently in June of 2015 ahead of qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. In addition to his playing career, Josh founded Baltimore Pro Soccer, LLC, and is the Chairman of Baltimore Kings Pro Soccer Club. He is currently ranked the #1 private coach in Maryland (via CoachUp) and holds a coaching license from USSF (United States Soccer Federation), the official governing body of soccer in the United States overseeing the U.S. Men's & Women's National Teams, Professional, and Amateur soccer in the country.

This widely popular and entertaining youth basketball camp was awarded The Capital Readers Choice 2018 BEST SPORTS CAMP.  Campers will be taught individual skills as well as the fundamentals of team play.  Campers will also spend a small portion of the day outside as well as have a 30 min resting period where a sports video will be shown. Special awards are given daily for enthusiastic campers as well as to end-of-session outstanding teams and contest champions. Early Bird, Sibling and Multiple Week Discounts available.  Contact the Summer Programs Office for details on how to obtain the discounts.  Lunch/Concessions: Pizza, hotdogs, chips, candy, Gatorade, and other snacks will be available daily for separate purchase.

This camp is for players of all levels who wish to strengthen their game. Beginning and intermediate players will develop solid fundamentals in passing, hitting, serving and defense. High school level players need to come ready for a physically and mentally challenging week designed to help you excel in all aspects of volleyball!  

About the Director: Coach Wolf has 11 years of high school volleyball coaching experience and is now the girls’ head varsity volleyball coach at AACS, the first girls’ team at AACS to compete in the IAAM A Conference!  He is passionate about youth sports and hopes to send your child home with a growing love of volleyball after a fun and challenging week!

The Eagle’s Girls’ Basketball Camp emphasizes individual skill development, team concepts, sportsmanship and self-confidence throughout the week. Girls will receive quality instruction in all phases of the game in a positive and fun atmosphere. Beginners and established players will benefit from attending Eagles Girls’ Basketball. Campers will be grouped according to age, size, and playing experience.

A leadership development component will be incorporated into the daily schedule. The focus of this component will be on how to develop confidence to be a leader on your team, in your school and in the community. Activities will help campers identify their leadership style, give them a better understanding of the different roles they will potentially have as a leader and how to better communicate with teammates, coaches and the adults in their lives.

About the Director: Coach Domoracki is the Athletic Director and Girls' Varsity Head Coach at AACS. He has 30+ years of coaching experience, having coached at both the high school and college levels. Coach D is committed to helping girls not only become better basketball players, but to help girls become women of empathy and integrity so that they will lead, be responsible and help change the world for good.

Prepare to RISE and fly for the upcoming school year! The ESAC camp program is based on the concept of “Building Strength from the Inside-Out,” that links the athletic performance activities of various strength and speed training with the internal foundation of leadership and character development. Partnering with RISE Enterprises, a program designed to explore the character and professional development of young men and women, athletes will be challenged body, mind, and spirit to be the best teammate and developing leader they can be through; “Speed, Agility Quickness and Strongman” style training, “Team Building” relay races, “Special Forces” style competitions and “Leadership Development” breakout sessions. With a “Kingdom Building” mindset, this camp will inspire young athletes to pursue greatness on the field, in the classroom, and in their community for something GREATER than self.

About the Directors: Coach Cedrick “Coach Ced” Dickens is the AACS Summer Programs Director and works with students and athletes as a strength and conditioning coach in the weight room during the school year. Cedrick has a MA in Christian Leadership and BS in Exercise Physiology. He has taught in multiple school districts and as a college/university adjunct professor in Sport Management. Cedrick has coached athletes from the recreational level to collegiate. He is  a certified Physical Education teacher in the State of Maryland and certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Cedrick is a husband and father of three children and brings over 15 years of experience in teaching, coaching and ministering to youth. His passion is helping the next generation “bridge the gap” between faith and life. 

Coach Marcus Bell is the founder and owner of RISE Enterprises LLC, an organization that focuses specific attention into the character and professional development of the youth. Marcus has a degree in Sports Management from the University of Michigan, and has experience working in sports at all levels including internships with the University of Michigan athletics and the Detroit Lions. Marcus is a husband and father of four children. Marcus aims to use his gifts and talents to help others push beyond perceived limitations and pursue their own destinies.

Come learn what it means to become a better teammate! This camp is designed for campers of all ability levels who want to participate in an active, fun filled week of sports and games. Each day campers will learn and play a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, baseball, volleyball, team handball, ultimate frisbee, tennis, and archey! We will focus on skill development, game tactics, teamwork, and playing to the best of your ability. Each day after lunch we will also include a short film session watching various sports videos. On Friday, we will host an end of week tournament and award ceremony; parents are welcome to watch the basketball championships from 3:00pm – 4:00pm in the main gym. 

About the Directors: The Wolf Pack is bred in sports. Ken Wolf, father of Aaron, Caleb and Josiah, has been a Physical Educator and soccer coach for over 35 years at Anne Arundel Community College. Aaron is an ACE certified personal trainer, has a degree in Physical Education and has coached youth sports off and on for the past 15 years. Caleb has worked in youth programs since he graduated college and has a Master’s Degree from the University of Maryland. Josiah has a degree in Physical Education, an M.B.A. in Marketing, led AACS Eagles Explorations for 11 years, and is now running the AACS Eagle Leagues youth sports program. The Wolf Pack love sports and have a heart for working with children. We are combining these passions to give your child a truly memorable and educational week at camp!
