Girls Cross Country Finishes Regular Season Undefeated

The AACS Girls Varsity Cross Country team won their final regular season meet on Tuesday, October 8 to finish out the season undefeated.  During this meet, all nine runners earned personal bests.

Coach Kristjana Cook said, "It's been such a unified effort. They love each other so much and every one of them would sacrifice whatever was needed for any one of the others. They persevere to the end every week to do their best for the team as a whole. They are a great example of a sisterhood. "

The Eagles look to finish their perfect season at the IAAM Championships on Tuesday, October 22 at 4:00 PM at Shawan Downs.

 

Volleyball Goes On Streak In 5th Set Tie-Breaker To Win

After splitting the first four sets with Mercy, AACS went on a 6 point streak in the 5th set tie-breaker to win the final set and ultimately the match.  Charlotte Dittmar helped lead the team with 15 kills, 10 digs, and 2 aces.  Abisola Adeyemo had 14 kills, 5 aces, and 8 digs.  Ellie Hansen finished with 35 assists, 2 aces, and 6 digs

The Eagles will host Notre Dame Prep on Thursday, September 26 for their next conference game.  This game will be played at the AACS Middle School campus in Annapolis.

Boys Varsity Soccer Defeats Park 4-0

The Boys Varsity Soccer team opened conference play in style defeating Park School 4-0 at home. The Eagles gained control of the game early. Jaden Adeduwon found his way in goal twice in the matchup, while Maks Taishoff and Caleb Terry added goals of their own.

The Eagles will travel to Gerstell on Tuesday, September 24 for their next conference game.

AACS Comes Back To Defeat Arundel 2-1

The AACS Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated Arundel High 2-1.  Arundel scored in the 30th minute to hold a 1-0 lead going into halftime.  AACS came out with a lot of pressure in the second half creating several scoring opportunities.  With 7 minutes to go, Caleb Terry received a pass from Maks Taishoff to tie up the game.  17 seconds after Terry scored his first, he found the back of the net again to help secure the win for the Eagles.

The Eagles are 2-2 as they head into conference play against Park on Friday, September 20.

Boys Varsity Cross Country Wins Close Race Over Severn and St. Mary's

In their first conference meet of the season, the AACS Boys Varsity Cross Country Team defeated both Severn (27-28) and St. Mary's (24-31) in a close race on Wednesday, September 11.  AACS claimed 3 of the top 5 finishes in the race with Jack Nebbia finishing in 1st, Kenny Travis in 2nd, and Jack Marti in 5th.  Nebbia had a similar feat last year, capturing the 1st place finish in the tri-meet with Severn and St. Mary's.

The Eagles' next race will be at the Barnhart Invitational on Saturday, September 14.
