Amy Sproul

The AACS girls varsity lacrosse team defeated Catholic High 20-11 to take home the IAAM C Conference championship.

Skylar Sensenbrenner and Ava Linnell were a dominate duo for the Eagles tallying six goals each and were dominate on the draw.

After being tied at five early on in the game, the Eagles were able to score 7 straight to take control of the game and go into halftime up by 8.  Catholic went on a run in the second half, but could not overcome the deficit.

AACS won 28 of 35 draws which played a big factor in the offensive momentum and success for the team.

AACS head coach Maggie Bickhart said, "From the first day of tryouts, we were talking about May 10.  For three months, the girls have been working and this shows that their effort paid off.  Our girls dug in and they knew what it was going to take."
