Junior Jack Nebbia was named the 2024 MIAA B Conference Cross Country Player of the Year.

Nebbia has consistently gotten faster and faster each year on the cross country team.  During the MIAA B Conference Championships, he ran a PR of 16:40.7 which earned him 1st place in the race.  His 1st place time was 9 seconds faster than 2nd place.

With Nebbia's success this season, he was invited to the Nike Cross Regionals in North Carolina where he finished in the top 400 out of almost 1000 runners.

Varsity Head Cross Country Coach Kristjana Cook was named the 2024 IAAM Cross Country Coach of the Year. 

After an undefeated season, the girls varsity cross country team went on to win the IAAM C Conference championship.  “Coaching this team was a gift,” reflected Cook, whose roster included 9 determined and hardworking girls. “This was a magic team with great chemistry, where everybody mattered all the time.”

Juniors Jack Nebbia and Kenny Travis toed the line at the famous Nike Cross Regionals meet in Cary, NC on Saturday, marking the first time AACS has had representation at NXR! NXR is an invite only meet where 1000 runners come out to compete.  Dedication, courage, and hard work paid off, giving Jack and Kenny a chance to compete at the highest level for a high school cross country runner.

The AACS Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated Mt. St. Joseph 61-58 on Friday, November 22.  Eli Croskey led the Eagles with 15 points while Kendrick Tche-Tafon added 12 points and 8 rebounds.  Ant Sheehan and Julian Kelly each chipped in with 10 points.

"This was a hard fought win that was led by our five seniors.  We played tough, physical basketball. I am proud of our guys." said, Head Coach Doug Scheidt.

Congratulations to all of our teams for a great fall season and to our student-athletes who were named to the All-Conference team this fall!
