What's Next: Prepare for 2019-20
Summer is a time for fun and relaxation, as well as for planning for the coming school year. Here is how you can prepare: collect items on school supply lists, purchase required textbooks and educational materials, review orientation and uniform information and buy new or used uniforms for your student(s). Uniform requirements are currently in review. Minor changes are anticipated and will be shared with families by July 10.

*A back to school packet will be mailed to you with more details and information so keep an eye out for it over the summer.
It is your choice where to buy your school supplies. If you buy from Office Depot, please use ID number on the top of the supply list. This will give our school 5% back for supplies we need throughout the year. The code is good all year at Office Depot and a great way to bless AACS teachers at your child's campus with additional funds for the classroom.

Online Used Book Exchange
If you have books that you would like to sell within the AACS community, please post them on the Upper School Online Textbook Connection. It's the place to sell your books or buy used books for the coming school year. The Textbook Connection will be available until September 30, 2019.

Used Uniform Closet (located at the Middle School Campus)
Kids grow so fast! Here's a chance for you to bless someone else with a gently used hand-me-over! If you have anything from the 2018-2019 approved uniform list that someone else might be able to use, please bring it to the used uniform closet! You may also find gently used or even new uniforms for your son or daughter. Lower, middle and upper school uniforms are available. Thank you for taking care of each other!

All Inclusive Lunch Program at the Upper School
The Upper School's lunch provider is SAGE Dining Services. SAGE offers an all-inclusive, all-you-care-to-eat lunch service with a wide selection of freshly prepared and high-quality food. There are hot meal options, a soup and salad bar, a sandwich bar, a dessert table, and naturally flavored water, tea, and juices. For more information on SAGE, please watch this video.

Upper School Orientation for New and Returning Students
August 20 Orientation Day for New and Returning Students
The day before school starts
All 9th grade students and parents and new-to-AACS parents of
10th, 11th, and 12th graders attend.
8:00 a.m. in Kerr Auditorium
ALL 9th grade students and their parents and new students in grades 10, 11, and 12 and their parents will gather first. The parent program runs until approximately 10:15 a.m. The students wrap-up by 11:00 a.m. Students are free to leave when finished.
Returning students (parents need not attend) attend orientation according to the following schedule to help with efficient processing at all orientation stations:
- 12:30-1:15 p.m.
Stations open to students who are involved in a fall co- curricular activity (e.g., athletics, marching band).
- 1:15-2:00 p.m.
Stations open to students whose last names begin with A-H.
- 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Stations open to students whose last names begin with I-Z.
During this self-guided time, returning students:
- Sit for their ID photo in the Kilby gymnasium.
- Ensure their passwords for the various computer and website logins are working.
- Setup their lockers and deposit books.
- Introduce themselves to some of the new faculty and staff.
