"Campers will learn chords, strumming patterns, basic music theory, and how to follow a song with the chords written above the lyrics. Everything will culminate in each camper having written his or her own personal song by the end of the 2 weeks. Individuals with little or no guitar experience will gain a solid foundation, learning how to practice and play songs well. Campers with previous background in the instrument will have the opportunity to learn more complex chords and fills commonly used by guitarists.

About the Director: Eddie Spuler is an AACS alumnus of 2009 and a graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, earning a degree in jazz guitar performance. His experience as a guitarist and vocalist has led to work in various settings including local churches, high schools, colleges, and work with recording artists. Through the years, Mr. Spuler has had the pleasure of teaching individuals of various ages and musical backgrounds how to enjoy the beauty of music."
